Tragically, a sad occurrence has rocked the black community in an awful turn of events. Trevor Wheeler, 68, fatally injured his wife Estella Wheeler, 64, a cherished Toronto educator who devoted her life to forming young minds.
Authorities responded to a distress call at their residence early in the morning, which is when the tragic occurrence took place. Despite the first responders’ best efforts, Estella passed away from her wounds.
The couple had left behind two grown children after immigrating to Canada from Jamaica many years prior. The sudden death of Estella serves as a sobering reminder of the pervasiveness of spousal abuse in our culture.
